4 soldiers martyred in landmine blast


(PAKISTAN) 4 July 2010 - Four security personnel were martyred and nine others sustained injuries when their convoy hit a landmine in Khyber Agency while 10 militants were killed in fresh clashes between the insurgents and security forces in Orakzai Agency on Saturday.

Quoting local sources, a private television channel reported that a convoy of security forces was on its way from Gurguray to Fort Slop Camp when it hit a landmine laid by the militants. As a result, four security personnel identified as Aqid Ali, Atwar Ali, Irshad and Qayyum embraced martyrdom on the spot while nine others sustained injures. The security forces cordoned off the area after the incident and launched a search operation. (…)
