Anama Aids Mine-Blown People (AZERBAIJAN)


Azerbaijan's national mine action agency ANAMA organised medical checks and treatment of the first group of 20 people in the format of the programme of aid launched for the people who had suffered in mine blasts.

The ANAMA report says that the second group of 20 people is ready for this now; those people have been fixed up at the war invalid clinic. The research by ANAMA shows that 1883 citizens of Azerbaijan who had suffered from mines and unexploded ammo need medical and psychological help. The project is implemented through the intermediary of the UNDP and at the expense of the European Commission, and includes medical, social and psychological rehabilitation.
