Army personnel killed in Surankote attack

An Army personnel of 45 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) was killed in an encounter with the Kashmiri freedom fighters at Upper Sailan in Surankote area in Poonch district.


Fighters opened heavy firing on 45 RR from a top a hill and troop identified as Sepoy Raj Singh was killed.

Meanwhile, a porter working with Army identified as Mohd Rashid son of Mohd Din R/o Dabraj was injured in a mine blast at Mankote in Poonch district. He has been admitted in civil hospital, Mendhar.
