Foster-Miller, a unit of Britain's QinetiQ Group PLC, said the contract brings to $257 million its total award through 2012 to work on the robots, in the program managed by the US Navy's Naval Surface Warfare Center unit. The company is also developing versions of the robot that can be armed as remote weapons platforms.
