Gali mine victims in critical condition (Georgia)
After explosion of a mine in Kokhora village in the Gali region, Irakli Cheminava and Valeri Mikelbaia were badly wounded, while the driver of the lorry, Gocha Akhalaia died at the scene.
Irakli Cheminava and Valeri Mikelbaia, residents of the Gali region of separatist Abkhazia who were severely injured by an exploding anti-tank mine on Saturday, remain in critical condition according to the Georgian administration of the Gali Region acting in Zugdidi.
The victims together with five other passengers were traveling by a lorry that passed through the Kokhora village in the Gali region. After explosion of the mine, Irakli Cheminava and Valeri Mikelbaia were badly wounded, while the driver, Gocha Akhalaia died at the scene.
The quadrilateral investigative group acting in the conflict zone will start investigation soon. (Black Sea Press)
