Jawan injured in J&K landmine blast (Kashmir)

JAMMU: An Army jawan was injured in landmine blast near Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here on Tuesday.


Jawan, identified as O Jholimav, was patrolling LoC at Bump-III post near LoC in Poonch district when he stepped over a landmine on Monday night, they said.

As a result an explosion took place in which the jawan's right ankle was blown off, they said.

He was admitted to the hospital where his condition is stated to be stable, they said.
