Landmine takes off leg of 17-year-old girl in Saada (Yemen)
SAADA, Nov. 05 (Saba) ' A landmine has taken off the leg of a young girl in the northern province of Saada and her condition is serious, police have said.
The left leg of a 17- year-old girl was taken off by a landmine, which the police said was part of the traces of the conflict between the government forces and the Houthi rebles, and the accident took place while the girl was grazing cattle.
The police say such accidents take place sporadically due to landmines that were planted in several areas in the province by the rebels when they fought the troops.
Innocent children and cattle-herders are usually victims of these mines.
