Maoists breached truce: RNA

Security forces Tuesday claimed that despite the announcement of truce by Maoists, they have not stopped violence.


Issuing a press statement yesterday, the Directorate of Army's Public Relations in Kathmandu said the Maoists have breached their truce in five incidents from Saturday to Monday.
On Monday, the Maoists triggered a land-mine explosion at Pokharichaur, Ramechhap district where one security personnel was killed.

The rebels also abducted a policeman Krishna Ram BK from Hapure, Dang district when he was headed towards his father-in-law's house, said the statement.
Similarly, the rebels looted money from passengers after stopping 14 vehicles including bus, trucks and motorcycles at Sagarnagchauk in Sarlahi district, Sunday, added the statement.
