Missiles Wound 3 Afghan Soldiers (Afghanistan)


Kabul, Apr 26 (Prensa Latina) Two rockets launched by alleged Taliban rebels Wednesday hit near the general headquarters of the Afghan Rapid Response Force in this capital, wounding three soldiers, military sources revealed. In a separate incident, four Afghan soldiers died and another two were wounded when their vehicle set off a landmine in Choke district, in Kunar southern province.

The highly protected international airport and the US embassy are located in the rocket-hit area.
Commander Mahmood Amir told press the missiles were activated with a 15-minute difference, from a zone east of the capital.

In a separate incident, four Afghan soldiers died and another two were wounded when their vehicle set off a landmine in Choke district, in Kunar southern province.
Official sources informed the Afghan soldiers were taking part in a joint offensive with US troops since April 12 in that region, bordering Pakistan.
