More Weapons & Ammo Found (Sri Lanka)


MULLAITTIVU : ARMY troops recovered six LTTE dead bodies, one 122mm artillery gun, three micro pistols, twenty seven pistols, ninety four T-56 weapons, three T 81 weapons, four Multi Purpose Machine Guns, four FNC weapons, twenty-four pistol ammunition, two thousand and twenty four rupees in cash, nine I-Com sets, twenty six claymore mines, one 40mm mortar barrel, one 81mm mortar barrel, fourteen Rocket Propelled Guns, six Light Machine Guns, two sniper weapons, eight 12.7mm weapons with barrels, six 37mm barrels, one satellite phone, two 81mm magazines, two 81mm Light Machine Gun drums, seven Multi Purpose Machine Gun links, and one unidentified weapon during search and clear operations in VELLAMULLIVAIKKAL area on Thursday (21).

The same day, troops found one hand grenade and two cyanide capsules from KUPPANKULAM area.
Millions Flocking to Colombo to Celebrate National War Hero Tribute Ceremony
COLOMBO: MILLIONS of jubilant Sri Lankans waving National Flags in colorful processions, containing specially prepared decorative floats are on their way towards Sri Jayawardenapura Parliament esplanade to join the National War Hero tribute festival in progress as at 1600 hours on Friday (22).
The massive crowd, gathered at the Borella Campbell Park after arriving there from all corners of the island started wending its way to the Parliament complex. Though the ceremony at Sri Jayawardenapura complex has commenced, the procession of jubilant and patriotic civilians was still entering the complex in their hundreds.
Hand Grenades & AP Mines Recovered
EAST : FOUR hand grenades, four Anti Personnel Mines and seventeen T-56 ammunition were found by the troops from SAMPUR area in TRINCOMALEE on Thursday (21).
At the same time, Police found one hand grenade from GIRITALE area in POLONNARUWA on Thursday (21).
