Old Israeli bomb injures two in Lebanon
Lebanese security sources said Saturday a left-over Israeli cluster bomb in southern Lebanon exploded and injured two people.
The sources said a Lebanese and a Syrian laborer were injured in the southern Lebanese village of Dahr al-Ahmar as they were collecting stones for garden fences when the bomb exploded.
The sources added the two men were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Before withdrawing from southern Lebanon in May 2000, Israeli forces reportedly left thousands of loaded bombs and land mines in the area.
Many have exploded since then, killing and injuring dozens of people.
