One serviceman killed, another wounded in terror attack in Grozny (Chechnya)

An interior troops serviceman was killed and another was wounded when a landmine exploded at about 10 a.m. in Grozny on Wednesday.


The landmine blew up when an engineers squad was passing near a bus stop on Staropromyslovskoye highway. The wounded serviceman was hospitalized, officials with the Staropromyslovsky police department told Interfax.

Experts are working at the scene. Witnesses are being questioned and evidence is being gathered, police said.
