Pakistan: Militant injured by bomb he was planting
Mardan, PAKISTAN, 21 May 2010 - A militant was injured when an improvised explosive device he was planting at the shop of an ANP leader went off prematurely in Par Hoti here night.
A passerby was also injured. Police said Jamshed of the Warha Bainai area was planting the IED at the shop of Lutaf Gul, who had joined the Awami National Party two months ago, when it went off. The shop situated near the Qazi hospital, Par Hoti Square, was partially damaged. The militant and a passerby were injured in the explosion. Police said Jamshed was arrested from the site. It was the third attack on the property of Mr Gul. Earlier, his hujra and CNG station had been targeted.
