Two injured in landmine detonation in Yemen /Yemen

HADRAMOUT, May 16 (Saba) ' Two people, the driver and a mine worker, were injured when a landmine detonated at a car which belonged to the National Mine Action Program.


The car was badly destroyed, with the driver having a wide scar on his left leg and a wound to his right thigh while the other injured came out with wounds in different parts of his body.

Three other mine workers in the car survived the detonation.

The accident took place when the car passed through an area full of planted landmines while on duty in the district of Thamoud in Yemen's eastern province of Hadramout.

Several landmine detonations were reported so far this year, with injuries reported, some to the people and others to mine workers.
