Ultras kill civilian in Doda, explosives recovered in Poonch (KASHMIR)


Jammu: Militants in Jammu and Kashmir have killed a civilian in Doda district as a overground worker was arrested, while security forces recovered explosives in Poonch district, official sources said here today.

Meanwhile, security forces during search operations in Surankote area of Poonch district recovered one claymore mine, three anti-personnel mines, one IED and 2.5 kgs explosives, they said.

Militants killed Omi Chand in the Karalan forests in Dessa area of Doda where he had gone to graze his cattle, sources said, adding his body was recovered by the police last evening.

Security forces also apprehended one overground worker (ogw) of militants, Raju Baig, from Punaju area of Bhaderwah tehsil in Doda district today, they said. He was later handed over to the police station at Bhaderwah.
